Fiction.show Community Resource License

1. Where this license applies

This license applies to resources you own or are authorized to license when you post, upload, or link them in an official Fiction.show community channel clearly designated as a Community Resource License sharing space. It applies to contributions made after this license is published and clearly announced in that space. It does not retroactively relicense earlier contributions.

Resources include skills, prompts, templates, presets, guides, creative assets, and similar materials (“Resources”). By posting, uploading, or linking a covered Resource in that space, you grant the permissions below for the rights you own or are authorized to license. No checkbox, special tag, or separate licensing statement is required.

A link covers the specific Resource identified in your post, not unrelated material in your account, website, or storage. Do not share your own Resource in a designated space if you do not want to grant these permissions. Material shared elsewhere in the community is not automatically covered by this license.

2. Ownership and third-party resources

Contributors retain ownership of their original material. This license grants permission, not ownership.

You may link to other people’s resources. Those resources retain their original licenses and restrictions; sharing a link does not grant additional rights. Upload someone else’s files only when their owner or license permits it. Identify included third-party material and retain its applicable notices and terms.

A contribution grants only rights the contributor owns or is authorized to license. Nothing in this license withdraws rights independently available under another license, separate permission, or applicable law.

3. Personal and commercial use

Each contributor grants community members who lawfully receive a covered Resource a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to download, copy, use, and modify it for personal and commercial work, subject to this license.

You may load Resources into your AI clients and services for that work and keep private backups or synced copies. Those private uses are not public redistribution.

You may incorporate Resources into finished projects and outputs and publish, distribute, display, perform, and sell those projects and outputs, including films, books, artwork, and client work. The limits in section 5 apply when the Resource itself is being redistributed as a reusable resource.

No credit, attribution, copyright notice, or license notice is required in your finished projects or outputs under this license. Any separate requirements for third-party material still apply.

4. Sharing and successive modifications within the community

You may share a covered Resource free of charge within the designated Fiction.show community resource-sharing spaces. You may modify a covered Resource, including a version previously modified by another member, and share your version free of charge within those spaces.

By sharing your version there, you license your original contributions under these same terms. Each recipient receives permission directly from each contributor for the rights that contributor holds in the Resource. Earlier contributions remain covered by their applicable licenses.

This permission extends through successive modifications and resharings. Preserve accompanying copyright and license notices, identify modified versions as modified, and do not impose conflicting restrictions on contributions already covered by this license. No separate licensing tag or statement is required on each post.

5. Outside redistribution and resource sales

Without separate permission from the relevant rights holders, you may not repost, publish, or distribute the Resource itself or modified versions outside the designated community resource-sharing spaces.

You may not sell Resources or modified versions, sublicense them for a fee, or include them in a paid resource bundle. These limits also apply when a Resource is packaged as reusable files, instructions, or templates within another product.

You may sell finished projects and services created using Resources. For example, you may sell a film made using a shared skill; you may not sell the skill file itself or a modified version of it.

These restrictions do not prevent a contributor from separately sharing, licensing, or selling their own original material. A contributor’s permission for their own additions does not grant permission for material owned by other contributors or third parties.

6. Official skills and product integration

Official Fiction.show skills and their underlying materials remain governed by the Fiction.show Official Skills License. When you share original additions to an official skill in a designated space, those additions are covered by this community license and any applicable sharing conditions in the Official Skills License. The underlying official material remains covered by its own license.

Permission from a contributor cannot expand the rights granted by an earlier contributor or by Fiction.show. Outside redistribution requires permission from all relevant rights holders unless another applicable license already allows it.

This license does not, by itself, authorize Fiction.show to distribute your Resource or an adapted version as part of its official app, official skill downloads, or other reusable resource products. Fiction.show will obtain separate permission for that use. This does not restrict rights independently available under applicable law or another license.

7. Continuing permission and termination

Permissions granted for a version lawfully received are irrevocable for the duration of the applicable rights, subject to the recipient’s compliance with this license. Deleting a post, removing a download, leaving the community, or changing terms for later versions does not withdraw permissions already granted.

If a recipient breaches this license, that recipient’s permission to use the affected Resource terminates. This does not revoke permissions they previously and validly granted to others, or permissions held by other recipients who remain in compliance.

Removal of a Resource does not require continued hosting or support. Later changes to this license do not withdraw permissions already granted for earlier versions.

8. Fiction.show’s role

Contributors authorize Novae Caelum Studios, LLC to host, display, and distribute covered Resources within the designated community resource-sharing spaces to operate that sharing. This does not grant additional permission to resell Resources or distribute them outside those spaces.

Fiction.show may moderate or remove posts and Resources. Community Resources are not necessarily tested, reviewed, or endorsed by Fiction.show. Discord and other hosting services have their own terms.

9. Responsibility and other rights

To the extent permitted by law, Resources are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Their authors and contributors are not liable for losses arising from their use. You remain responsible for reviewing agent actions, provider charges, outputs, and any third-party requirements.

This license does not grant access to the Fiction.show Studio app, paid courses, provider accounts, or other services, or a right to claim official endorsement. It does not grant rights a contributor does not hold. Rights that cannot lawfully be restricted are unaffected.
